Steelers fan for 30 years living in L.A., where I hit Gabe's (Steelers bar) in West L.A. to get my Black-and-Gold fix. (I'm talking football, of course; is there a drink called the Black-and-Gold? If not, there should be.)...
Got my MBA at USC during the Bush-Leinart era, continuing a family tradition of attending USC. Naturally, I'm a huge Polamalu fan...
The older I get, the more addicted to football I become, and the more bored I get with other sports. So you know that long period between the NFL Draft and the start of training camp? Pure torture...
In my spare time, I'm a marketing consultant and video producer. But it's football that I live for -- everything else is just to pay the beer tab.

Expect Ward To Get Hit
I'm not talking about on the field -- I'm talking about in the League office.
Note that I'm in complete agreement with Polamalu on hitting in the NFL, and that the League runs the risk of wimping out.
But after last week's fines -- unwarranted as they were -- Ward could very well be suspended for breaking Keith Rivers' jaw. We know that Ward wasn't out to intentionally injure someone, but the League will argue that the amount of roughness was not necessary -- that Ward could have simply shoved Rivers out of the way.

NY Times article on Pittsburgh
I confess that I'm a Steelers fan who has never been to football Mecca, Pittsburgh, even though both my favorite team and my wife come from there. I vow to go someday soon! So it was with great interest that I read this recent article in the New York Times entitled, "36 Hours in Pittsburgh." I know it's not direcly Steelers releated, but I figured some of you might dig it. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
